Rio Tinto Starts Digging Copper From Oyu Tolgoi Mine

Rio Tinto Group Chief Executive Officer Jakob Stausholm says its Oyu Togoi project in Mongolia is well-positioned to feed growing copper demand from electric vehicles and renewable energy. Rio began digging the metal from its prize giant mine after years of delays, disputes with the country’s government. Stausholm spoke with reporters.
