Pope Meets Man Dressed as Spider-Man

Among those standing in line to greet Pope Francis at the end of his weekly audience on Wednesday was Spiderman.

The comic book hero held his mask in his hand as he bowed to the Pope and greeted him.

This unusual visitor was Francesco Tarantino a young man who goes to paediatric hospitals in Italy to entertain children.

Also on Wednesday, Pope Francis and the Orthodox Coptic pope, Tawadros II, delivered a joint blessing in a significant ecumenical gesture to commemorate the 50th anniversary of a historic meeting of their predecessors.
