China Sends Astronauts to New Space Station

China successfully launched the crewed spaceship Shenzhou-15 on Tuesday, carrying three astronauts to their new space station. They’re scheduled to spend the next six months on projects aimed at fulfilling Beijing’s goal of creating a permanent Chinese presence in space. It’s the first time China launched a crewed mission in extremely cold conditions.
